The Navajo river joins the San Juan river in Archuleta county after which their mingled waters flow into the Navajo Lake , then on to the Colorado river and thence into the Pacific Ocean by way of the Gulf of Lower California. There is an old Denver & Rio Grande truss bridge with 2 steel truss spans and one deck span, 376 ft
